Getting to Costa Ballena

Costa Ballena has a privileged place if you come from Jerez International Airport, located just 28 kms. Numerous flights arrive daily from Madrid and Barcelona to Jerez.


The recommended airport is Jerez de la Frontera (XRY)

Arrival from Jerez International Airport

If your flight arrives at Jerez airport, it is recommended the following two possibilities to move to Costa Ballena:

Take a bus/train to Costa Ballena

There is a bus from Jerez airport to Costa Ballena but the timetable will appear in Spring:

Moreover, there are trains and buses which run between the airport and Jerez de la Frontera. The service runs 365 days a year and approximately journey time is about 10 minutes. The ticket can cost about €1,30 (bus) or €2,40 (train). You could consult the timetables in the following link:

The train station and the bus station of Jerez de la Frontera are located in the same place, the address is Plaza de la Estación. There you could take other bus to Costa Ballena (€1.90), the timetable appears in:

Arrival from Seville Airport

If your flight arrives at Seville airport, it is recommended the following route to move to Costa Ballena:

Getting from the Airport into the center of Seville is easy and quick. If you catch a Seville Airport Taxi, you have to go to bus station, Prado de San Sebastián-Seville. The journey will take you around 15 mins and costs between €15 and €22 depending on which time of day you travel. The taxi rank is just outside the terminal building.

To go from Seville airport to the bus station, Prado de San Sebastián-Seville, there is an urban transport line (EA: Plaza de Armas-Aeropuerto) that connect both points, with stops. The journey takes 30 minutes.

The one-way ticket costs €4€, and you can buy the ticket on board the bus. The opening hours could be consulted:

In the bus station, Prado de San Sebastián-Seville, you have to take a bus to Rota. The service runs 365 days a year and approximately journey time is about 2 hours. The timetables can be consulted in the following link:

Finally, at the exit of the bus station of Rota there is a taxi rank, where you have to catch a taxi to Costa Ballena. It can cost about 13-15 euros. Taxis are fast, comfortable and safe, it is not necessary to negotiate the price before departing.
